Gary and Katrin

These pictures are close ups of the large peices and Katrin with her bouquet.

Gary and Katrin

Gary and Katrin's wedding was lovely and simple. We gathered for a garden ceremony and then, at the last minute changed plans for the reception. The weather had been fickle all day and right after Gary and Katrin entered the gazebo to exchange vows the thunder cracked and the rain let loose! What a day for a wedding! We all piled into the house for the reception, then soon after, the rain stopped and the sun came out again.

Peony Bridal Bouquet

Peonies come at my favorite time of the year. They make this bouquet lush and full and accent the roses, lily-of-the-valley, and chrysanthemums.

Purple Bridal Bouquet

A hand-tied bridal bouquet of yellow roses, freesia, liatris, crespidia, iris, and purple throated callas finished with a satin purple ribbon.

Wedding Show 2010 bouquets

This is the bouquet I made for my Wedding Work B class. The assignment was to pair up with two partners and using the same flowers, create completely different bouquets! I used lily grass to weave a lattice and then grouped roses, Alstromeria, Chysanthemums, Heather, and Bay Leaves. These matierials give it a non-traditional feel. Above is my interpretation and below are all three of ours together. This bouquet is my Wedding Work C bouquet. It is my senior bouquet and is meant to be an original design other than a hand-tied bouquet. I used a birch twig armature to insert the flowers. There are cream roses, pink Ranunculus, white and pink Liatris, white Freesia and Tea Leaves.
